Light Stable Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry
The stable isotope lab has been established through
collaboration of faculty from the departments of Chemistry, Geological
Sciences and the School of Life Sciences (SoLS) at ASU. Construction of the lab
officially ended on November 30, 2004 and the first instrument
installation started the very next day. From December 2004 to mid
March 2005 a Neptune multicollector ICP-MS, X-series ICP-MS, Thermo
MAT 253, and Thermo Deltaplus Advantage mass spectrometers were
installed here. A wide variety of peripheral devices were installed to
support the gasIRMS instruments.
